Some practical measures

Grande Dixence S.A. is making landscape improvements to former construction sites which date back to the construction of the complex.

Grande Dixence S.A. has also developed an energy efficiency plan for its buildings whose aim is to improve thermal insulation and heating installations.

Controlling the risks of water and air pollution is also one of the current concerns of Grande Dixence S.A.

A nature reserve

Grande Dixence S.A. has contributed towards the creation of a nature reserve around the Lac des Dix reservoir. This will protect varieties of animal and plant life which are typical of mountain areas.
