Guided tours, with sound and lighting effects, of the very heart of the highest gravity dam in the world take place every day, from 20 June until early October.
 
Groups assemble with a guide in front of the information centre at the foot of the dam.

Times		11.30am, 1.30pm, 3pm, 4.30pm. When there are large numbers of visitors, additional tours may be offered at 2.15pm and 3.45pm.

Crest of the dam

The crest of the dam offers an amazing 360° view. It can be reached on foot in about 45 minutes, or by cable car. The crest is the starting point for several walks, including the Ibex Trail (Sentier des Bouquetins), Cabane de Prafleuri, Cabane des Dix and Cabane de la Gentiane. Tour of the heart of the dam plus one-way cable car ride:

Visitor centre

This includes:

• an information point selling tickets for tours of the dam;
• a permanent exhibition and audiovisual presentation about the period from the construction of the first Dixence dam to the construction of the Grande Dixence dam, the entire Grande Dixence complex, the Cleuson-Dixence complex and their environmental context (duration: 30 mins.).
